League Initiatives

AJLI: Every Woman. All Things. Panel Discussion - Junior League of Jacksonville, FL

Every Woman. All Things. Every Woman. All Things. is a revolutionary campaign, created by The Association of Junior Leagues International, to reclaim well-being, and reimagine life where role strain, role conflict, and burnout are no longer the cost of being everything to everyone. As a women’s organization, we want to help make women’s lives easier and to help women unload the mental load through awareness, advocacy and cultural change. By disrupting the causes often attributing to mental overload, like caregiving, financial security and workplace stress, we can unburden an entire generation of women. Together in our communities, we will hold honest conversations, help find solutions and lead systemic changes to make a profound impact on the world.

Decades of research and feedback from women have shown that we are often the primary caregivers in and outside our households. We care for aging family members, handle household matters and volunteer to make our communities better. Oftentimes, this can be overwhelming and can present as women being overloaded. We, as a women’s organization, want to help make women’s lives easier and to help women master the juggle through awareness campaigns, advocacy efforts, and cultural change.

This effort to make a change can be done by Junior Leagues educating women in their communities on this issue, finding solutions to the issues that cause role strain, including financial insecurity, demands and costs of caregiving for children or family members, professional workplace demands, and social media and its impact on perfectionism while juggling it.
